We ship all orders within 3-5 business days. Plants are only shipped Monday-Wednesday to avoid weekend delays at shipping facilities. Standard shipping typically takes 3-5 additional days depending on your location. We currently ship within the continental United States only.

Each plant is carefully wrapped with the root system protected in damp sphagnum moss and secured in a biodegradable sleeve. Plants are then cushioned with recycled paper and placed in a sturdy box with "Live Plants" and "This Side Up" labels. During extreme weather, we may add heat packs (winter) or delay shipping (extreme heat) to protect your plants.

Absolutely! Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with tracking information. You can also reply to your order confirmation email anytime with questions about your shipment.

A propagation is a cutting taken from a mature "mother" plant that has been rooted and is ready to grow into its own plant. Our propagations come with established root systems, making them ready to pot and care for immediately. They're a more affordable way to grow your plant collection compared to buying fully mature plants.

Our propagations typically have 2-6 leaves depending on the variety, with established root systems of 2-4 inches. They're young plants ready for a 3-4 inch pot. Each product listing includes specific size information. Remember, watching your plant grow from a small cutting is part of the joy!

We're sorry to hear that! Please take photos of the damage and email us at hello@rootedandcrafted.com within 48 hours of delivery. Include your order number and we'll make it right with a replacement or refund. Some stress during shipping is normal—check our Plant Care guide for tips on helping your plant recover.

Plants are shipped bare-root (without pots) to ensure safe transit and reduce shipping weight. This is actually better for the plant! If you'd like a planter, check out our 3D printed planters or grab a bundle deal that includes both a plant and planter.

Our planters are 3D printed using PLA (polylactic acid), a plant-based, biodegradable plastic made from renewable resources like corn starch. It's eco-friendly, durable, and perfect for indoor use. PLA is not recommended for outdoor use in direct sunlight or extreme heat.

Yes! All our planters come with drainage holes and matching saucers/bases to catch excess water. Proper drainage is essential for healthy plants, and we've designed all our planters with this in mind.

We offer 7 standard colors that you can select at checkout. For custom colors or bulk orders, please contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate your request!

Due to the living nature of plants, we cannot accept returns on plant orders. However, we stand behind our plants with a 30-day happiness guarantee—if your plant arrives damaged or dies within 30 days despite proper care, we'll replace it or refund you. Planters can be returned unused within 14 days for a full refund.

Our 30-day happiness guarantee covers plants that arrive damaged, plants that don't survive despite following our care guidelines, and any quality issues with our planters. It doesn't cover damage from improper care (overwatering, wrong light conditions, etc.) or normal shipping stress that resolves within a week. When in doubt, reach out!
